Talisman Nursery is one of the only plant nurseries on the Kapiti Coast that specialises in New Zealand Native Plants. Having been in Otaki for over 30 years, Talisman Nursery has built its reputation on providing a wide range of native plants that are professionally grown and hardened off to local conditions.
Set up by the late Alistair Turnbull in the mid 1980s and now owned by Stephen and Karen Whitton since 2010, Talisman Nursery has an established arboretum and exhibit gardens that are open to the public to wander through at their leisure. This resource provides customers with both inspiration and an opportunity to see New Zealand native plants fully grown and in a garden setting. It also acts as a resource for propagation by seed and cuttings to help keep the nursery stocked with a wide range of interesting plants.
